DTU MMA is a team dedicated to training Mixed Martial Arts. It takes the most effective parts of different martial arts, and attempts to turn into one simple ruleset. In MMA we practice both striking such as kickboxing and Muay Thai, as well as grappling such as BJJ.
DTU MMA is a student driven martial arts initiative, where we teach jiu jitsu, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and kickboxing! We welcome all levels of experience, all that matters is that you show up with a positive attitude, and respect the other students and the instructors.
Jiu jitsu is classic japanese self defence, modernized to fit current times (Think less defence against swords, more defence against holds, pushes etc), taught by Stig Kvistgaard Jensen. Stig has 10 years of experience in DJSF's jiu jitsu system. Stig also teaches floor work based on judo principles. A training usually consists of warmup, selfdefence techniques, floor work and some stretching. We also offer the opportunity to graduate to a higher degree in DJSF's system(Get a coloured belt:) )Kickboxing is taught by Adolfo Macias.
Brazilian jiu jitsu is taught by Victor Justesen, but classes are currently on hold, for now.
Classes are announced in a messenger groupchat, but usually follow this schedule:
Brazilian jiu jitsu is taught on mondays from 20:30-22:00.
Kickboxing classes are held on tuesdays from 10-12
Jiu jitsu is taught on thursdays from 10-12.
